E-Commerce Seminar – How to reach the Chinese consumer online SOLD OUT!


Chinese consumers spent $750 billion online in 2016 / which is more than the US and the UK combined. 

During this seminar, our expert panel will discuss how these Chinese  consumers can be reached effectively. Arno Nieuuwland (e-Commerce Hong Kong) will tell you what to remember when developing an e-commerce platform. Boudewijn Feith (Esprit) will talk about an omnichannel strategy: how can offline and online sales be combined? John Skalin (Sino Etail) will talk about the differences
between doing e-commerce in China and the Western World, e.g when it comes to product presentation. Nathan Jansen (1421 Consulting) will discuss the e-commerce trends in China and what opportunities this brings for foreign companies.

The panel discussion is moderated by Johan Aledal, Partner at Johan & Johan.


Arno NieuwlandArno Nieuwland is the director of e-Commerce Hong Kong ltd, SofaSale Service ltd and Time 4 Orange ltd and has a 20+ year career in logistics, ICT technology and E-Commerce in Asia and Europe. He has proven track record of successful implementation of numerous e-retail concepts. Arno has held senior management positions in FTSE 100 companies and holds a Master of Science degree from Delft University of Technology and a MBA Strategic Marketing degree from Yale School of Management.




Boudewijn FeithBoudewijn Feith is VP and Head of Marketing – APAC at Esprit. In his role, he oversees both brand marketing and commercial marketing across greater China, SEA and ANZ. He maintains a strong focus on the company’s Omnichannel strategy, CRM loyalty program and elevating the brand back to its glory days by using a tailored APAC approach that incorporates social, digital, influencers, events and PR. Before joining Esprit in 2015, Feith spent 10 years with Procter & Gamble in Europe and held various marketing and sales roles in Benelux and in the European HQ in Geneva.






John SkalinJohn Skalin is CEO of Sino Etail, an e-commerce agency based in Shenzhen that helps Western brands to establish official online sales channels in China. They provide a complete set of services for e-commerce and online marketing, including warehousing and the set up of e-commerce stores in Taobao, Tmall and JD. John has more than 10 years of e-commerce experience in fashion, and digital outsourcing.




Nathan JansenNathan Jansen, General Manager of 1421 Consulting Group’s office in Shenzhen and member of the Board of Directors at Bencham PRD, has obtained his Master’s Management and Entrepreneurship from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Nathan has been living in China for over 4 years. He has experience advising inbound clients from varies industries. In Shenzhen he is responsible for the branch office, which is assisting companies with their business in the Pearl River Delta.
