Intercham SME – HR Seminar – How to attract and retain talents?


Human Resources gets more and more important for both large as well as smaller enterprises. Companies experience a wide range of challenges when it comes to attracting and retaining talent, regardless what industry they are in.

At the 26th of September, Intercham SME invites you to a breakfast panel discussion focusing on HR-management for SME:s. We will have HR-executives from both large enterprises and small start-ups to discuss the challenges, but also the opportunities for companies in their HR-process.

– Topic: Employee retention, how to retain talents in your organization.
Scott Mason has over 15 years of experience working within corporate roles. During this time he has predominately  worked within the HR area helping organisations to develop leaders and improve organisational effectivenessOriginally starting his career in the UK, for the past 10 years Scott has worked in International roles with H&M. Now based in Hong Kong, Scott is currently Head of HR for H&M’s Global Production Organisation, responsible for driving H&M’s People Strategy across the Production world. Prior to arriving in Hong Kong, Scott spent almost 6 years in the Middle East supporting H&M in their retail expansion,  initially working within the Learning & Development area, before taking on the role of HR head covering 10 markets across the Middle East Region.

Topic: HR in the future, how will Human Resources change and what should your organization have in mind.
Ailin Yang is Director of Recruitment and Development for Asia Pacific at EF Education First. In this position, she oversees the hiring strategies as well as training needs across 11 countries. Before joining EF in this role, Ailin worked across several industries including Retail, Educational Publishing, Financial Services and Performing Arts in various functions. Originally from the United States, Ailin has been in Asia since 2007 and is now based in Hong Kong. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) as well as an MBA from INSEAD.

– Topic: Recruitment through Social media, how to really get the most out of different social media channels when recruiting.
Cathy has over 15 years of HR experience in various industries providing strategic and operational support for business. Prior to returning Hong Kong after her Master studies, Cathy worked in Australia where she supported over 5000+ professional employees and partnered with various operating unit to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with the business. Her career in Hong Kong has included working in various industries with mid-sized and small companies.

Benjamin Cox is a co-founder of The Artist, a premium and innovative craft beer company from Belgium. Before moving to Asia, Benjamin worked in investment banking and private equity in London  Born and raised in Hong-Kong, Benjamin always aspired to come back to his city, build his own dream and leave a footprint.

Jens Helmersson has 20 years of leadership experience in design, buying and supply chains with many years working for H&M. He is a founder and CEO of QuizRR; a fun, scalable and measurable digital knowledge platform that enables improvements and transparent sharing of data in global supply chains. He lives in Hong Kong and is an active member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and its sustainability committee.
