Breakfast Seminar – Reaping the strategic benefits of digitalization

Digitalization has already entered boardroom discussions and is seen as a priority among many business leaders worldwide. But, what is the current status of digitalization? What are the trends in terms of managerial perceptions of the value and importance of digitalization? What are the traps of implementing digital strategies and business models? And, what possibilities do organizations see in deploying digital strategies? Based on a series of recent empirical studies conducted on a global basis as well as in one of the world’s most digital economies – Sweden – this presentation will illustrate some early signals of firms being trapped in the “digital divide” and how to avoid this. Understanding the current digitalization trends and future possibilities are of utmost importance for reaping the strategic benefits of digital technologies.
