Dear Members,
We read and watch, with grief, the reports of the unimaginable suffering of individuals as well as their families and neighborhoods. We also read and watch, with respect and admiration, the reports of the Chinese people as a whole responding to this crisis with vigor and determination, in a spirit of unity.
We know that many of you have made or plan to make direct contributions to the relief work by providing money, staff, equipment and/or material. It is very encouraging to note that Swedish companies and individuals in Hong Kong/China and from all over the world are giving such a massive support to the disaster area in this difficult time.
While the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong will not itself coordinate or engage in these relief efforts, because our members are already heavily engaged on their own, we would very much appreciate if you would please share with us how your company has contributed to the relief work.
At a time like this, words may mean little. But by reporting on what our members have contributed to the relief efforts we hope to convey to those affected that our thoughts and prayers are with them as is our support.
