BackgroundKinsan Collections Ltd was established in Hong Kong in 1979. Since its beginning, Kinsan, as an interior supply company, has been importing and marketing fabrics, wallcoverings and furniture for the Hong Kong market. Kinsan operates two retail outlets in Hong Kong, however, the bulk of Kinsan’s business comes from contract work for offices, hotels and private individuals. The company also is represented in Thailand, the PRC and the Philippines. Kinsan has supplied among others, Peninsula Hotel, Shangri La Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hotel Conrad, Sheraton Hotel and Holiday Inn in Hong Kong, Oriental Hotel and Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok; and the China World Trade Centre in Beijing. Kinsan foresaw an increased demand for textile products from the region and established its sister company Design House to assistbuyers around the world to develop and manufacture fabrics from producers in the Far East.
