Consulate General of Sweden is currently seeking a multi-talented, creative and outgoing person to join our team as a full time Senior Communication and Promotion Officer.

Your profile
You are living in Hong Kong and are a positive person, service dedicated with a friendly approach. You are a team player as well as able to work independently. You have a sound background in communication and marketing and experience of organizing promotion events.
As a senior communication and promotion officer you have an important role supporting the Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong.

Your main tasks:

  • Coordinate programs for incoming delegations
  • Contribute to the content for the Consulate’s social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Sweden Abroad
  • Project management: As a member of the team coordinates and plans the consulate’s different Sweden promotion events
  • Take part of the daily administrative work in the consulate
  • Carry out any other suitable assignments within the consulate by request

Work tasks may differ from the above. You will be given training on our systems and will learn from your experienced co-workers. More information will be given at an interview.


  • Degree holder, preferable major in communication or marketing
  • Knowledge and experience of working with delegations
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Cantonese
  • Knowledge of Swedish is a very valuable asset
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience from an international organization or relevant employment
  • Experience from working with promotion events
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong social and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
    • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
    • Previous experience of EPiServer or similar Web-CMS is a plus
  • Good sense of photography
    • Simple photo and video post-processing

Starting date: To be discussed
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00 (16.00 on Fridays).
