On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, Hong Kong's government presented new social distancing measures in order to combat the current Covid-19 outbreak. The current round of social distancing rules is planned to stay in place until February 3.

The new rules mean that social gatherings in public places will be limited, including restaurants closing at 6 pm. More so, gyms, museums, themes parks, bars etc will be completely closed during the whole period.

In the second round of updated measures, it was also announced that suspension of classes will take place until Chinese New Year celebrations are over.

Events hosted by the Chamber during this period will be adjusted to align with the regulations. This means that for example the Monthly After Works are cancelled.
