In remembrance of Mr. Thomas Kung
On October 30, 1986, Thomas Kung signed the Memorandum and Articles of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, thus making Atlas Copco (HK) Ltd. one of the Chamber’s founding members. SwedCham has now for almost four decades been the hub for a vibrant Swedish community in Hong Kong, as an organizer of events, as a facilitator of professional networking, and as a tireless advocate for Swedish business interests. These days, SwedCham has more than 200 members; thousands of individuals participate in our events throughout the year. This is an extraordinary legacy of Mr. Kung and his fellow founders. We were delighted to show our appreciation for Mr. Kung’s service to SwedCham by awarding him an Honorary Membership in 2021. We now take this opportunity to repeat our thanks and to send our condolences, both to Atlas Copco and to the Kung family.
